The Design Surgery is an open, informal consultation - a focused video  call where you can bring any interior or fabric question you have been sitting on. Whether you are stuck on a colour decision, unsure about a furniture arrangement, overwhelmed by fabric choices, or simply need a second opinion before you spend - this is the place to get a clear, expert answer.

No agenda, no sales pitch. Just honest, practical design advice, tailored to your specific situation.

What you can bring to a Design Surgery call.​

• Colour and paint dilemmas: Can't decide between two shades? Not sure a colour will work in your light? Let's look at it together.

• Fabric and textile questions: Unsure which fabric works for your window, sofa, or cushion project? Bring the options - we'll work through it.

• Furniture layout and space planning: Something feels off in a room but you can't quite place it. Share a photo and a rough floor plan - we'll find it.

• Styling and finishing touches: You've done the big stuff. Now you need help pulling it all together - accessories, lighting, art, plants.

• A second opinion before a significant purchase: About to order something expensive? Let's make sure it works before you commit.

30 Minutes - £55

One focused question or decision. Perfect if you have a single dilemma you need resolved. Quick, clear, and actionable.

60 Minutes - £95

A broader conversation, or several questions at once. More time to explore, to review photographs together, and to cover multiple aspects of a room or project.

How it works:​

1. Book your slot - Send an email to studio@studiohallam.com, confirming your contact details, and we'll call you back.

2. Tell us what you're working on - You'll be asked a few short questions at the time of booking so we can make the most of your time. Do share any photographs, inspiration images, or links you think are relevant - the more context, the better.

3. We talk - Join the video call at your booked time. Come with your questions, your photographs, your fabric swatches - whatever you have. This is your time.

4. Leave with clarity - You'll finish the call with a clear direction and specific, actionable next steps. No vague suggestions - just practical advice you can act on straight away.
