There's a particular frustration that comes from having a head full of inspiration and a room that doesn't reflect any of it. Pinterest boards overflow. Fabric samples accumulate. Nothing quite comes together. And the fear of getting it wrong, of spending money on something that doesn't work, keeps you stuck.

The Full Room Design service is a complete online and remote interior design service for one room. This interior design package includes two consultations, a bespoke mood board, a floor plan, and a curated shopping list: everything you need to move forward with clarity and confidence, without needing to hire a full-service interior designer.

What's included?

• Two 45-minute online interior design consultations

The first is an exploration of your room, how you live in it, your inspiration, practical requirements and budget. Between consultations, Studio Hallam develops your design direction. The second consultation presents that direction, gives you space to ask questions and allows us to refine and confirm the scheme.

• Bespoke mood board

Your colour palette, textures, materials, furniture direction and lighting brought together so you can understand how the room is intended to feel before you begin implementing the design.

• Written style guide

Clear guidance on the thinking behind the scheme, including the mood, flow, texture, balance and design direction, so you can implement it yourself or brief relevant tradespeople with confidence.

• Curated shopping/source list

Paint, textiles, furniture, and key pieces: specific recommendations at a range of price points, so you know exactly what to buy and where to find it.

• Spatial planning / furniture plan

A furniture plan showing the recommended positioning and arrangement of furniture and relevant items within the room, considering proportion, circulation and how the space is used.

• Your final Full Room Design Pack

Your completed design is brought together into a digital pack which may include the design-direction summary, mood board, colour palette, textures and material recommendations, written style guidance, source recommendations, furniture plan and implementation or styling notes, as applicable to your project.

How it works:​

1. Book your slot - Simply book our service online or send an email to studio@studiohallam.com, confirming your contact details, and we'll call you back to discuss.

2. Tell us about your room - After booking, you'll receive your questionnaire. Return it with the requested photographs, accurate measurements, information about existing pieces you want to keep, inspiration images and anything else that helps us understand your room, lifestyle, practical requirements and approximate budget. Your completed questionnaire and supporting information should be returned at least two days before your first consultation.

3. We prepare - Before the first consultation, Studio Hallam reviews your questionnaire and supporting material, identifies the key themes and requirements and gathers preliminary imagery, material references and inspiration in preparation for our conversation.

4. First consultation - exploration - Your first 45-minute virtual consultation is where we explore the room properly: how you use it, what needs to work, how you want it to feel, your preferred colours, patterns and materials, what should stay and what you would like to change.

5. Design development - After the first consultation, Studio Hallam undertakes the principal design-development and curation work: developing your mood board and style direction, considering the furniture arrangement and curating appropriate source recommendations.

6. Second consultation - presentation and refinement - Your second 45-minute virtual consultation presents the developed design direction. We'll discuss the scheme, answer your questions, consider reasonable refinements and confirm the direction for your final design pack.

7. Your Full Room Design Pack - Following the second consultation, Studio Hallam completes your final digital Full Room Design Pack. It will normally be delivered electronically within 5-7 business days, provided all information, feedback and approvals reasonably required from you have been received.

 

A complete design direction - ready for you to implement

Full Room Design gives you the professional direction and information you need to implement the room yourself. It is a design service rather than a procurement or project-management service.

​

Unless separately agreed in writing, the service does not include purchasing or ordering products on your behalf, contractor management, installation supervision, project management, architectural or technical drawings, a measured survey, structural or engineering advice, or building-control or planning services.

​

The furniture plan is spatial-planning guidance rather than an architectural or construction drawing. Because the service is provided virtually, it is based on the measurements and information you provide, so these must be accurate and all dimensions should be checked before ordering furniture or beginning installation.
