Paint decisions are deceptively hard. The shade that looked perfect on the card reads completely differently once it's on four walls, under your light, next to your sofa. Most people either freeze entirely or pick something "safe" and quietly regret it for years.

This online interior colour consultation takes the guesswork out of the process. In one focused hour, we'll look at your room, your light, your existing pieces, and your instincts - and build a personalised colour scheme through a colour scheme consultation that genuinely fits your home and how you want to feel in it.

What's included?​

• Pre-consultation preparation

Before we meet, you'll complete a short questionnaire and send photographs, videos and any relevant inspiration. Studio Hallam will review your room, lighting, existing fixed elements and preferences, undertake the necessary research, and prepare two to three initial colour directions or mood-board concepts for us to explore together.

• 60-minute online consultation via Zoom or Teams

We'll look at your room together, explore your inspiration, and talk through what's working and what isn't.

• Two to three initial colour directions

You'll have considered starting points rather than a generic palette, giving us something tangible to compare, discuss and refine during the consultation.

• Personalised Colour Consultation Report

After the consultation, you'll receive a clear, easy-to-reference report of approximately 1–3 pages, normally including the agreed palette, relevant paint brands and colour codes, palette visuals, application or placement notes, visual inspiration where appropriate, and suggested next steps.

• Delivered within 3 business days

Your completed Colour Consultation Report will normally be sent electronically within 3 business days following the consultation.

How it works:​

1. Book your slot - Simply book our service online or send an email to studio@studiohallam.com, confirming your contact details, and we'll call you back to discuss.

2. Tell us about your room - After booking, Studio Hallam will send your pre-consultation questionnaire. Return it with clear photographs or videos, ideally showing the room in natural daylight, plus any inspiration images or other information requested.

3. We prepare - Studio Hallam reviews your information, assesses the room and its existing elements, researches suitable options and prepares two to three initial colour directions or mood-board concepts before your appointment.

4. We talk - Join your 60-minute virtual consultation. We'll discuss the proposed directions, what feels right, what doesn't, and refine the colour scheme together.

5. Your report - Within 3 business days of the consultation, you'll normally receive your personalised Colour Consultation Report electronically.

 

A focused colour design service

​

The Colour Consultation is designed to give you a considered colour direction for the room or space agreed as part of your booking. It is more developed than a quick colour question, but it is not a complete Full Room Design service.

The service does not include a site visit, measured survey, architectural or technical specification, construction drawings, procurement, project management or ongoing design work unless separately agreed in writing.

Because colour changes with natural and artificial light, surrounding colours, surface texture and paint finish, digital palettes and mood boards are visual guides. We strongly recommend testing physical paint samples or test pots in your room before making a final purchase.
